Erland, in collaboration with Scalora Consulting Group and Olson Lewis + Architects, was selected by Tenacre Country Day School to construct a brand-new two-story Design Center. Completed successfully, this 9,500-square-foot, state-of-the-art classroom building now serves as a dynamic educational hub for students across all grade levels. The Design Center was thoughtfully programmed to support creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning. Three bright and airy art studios on the upper level provide dedicated spaces for simultaneous use by both the lower and upper schools. The middle level features a flexible technology classroom and design studio/makerspace designed to foster innovation and collaboration. On the lower level, a fully equipped woodshop and a versatile flex space accommodate project-based learning, after-school programming, and even indoor recess during inclement weather. Together, these specialized environments create a vibrant, multi-use facility that empowers students and faculty to explore, design, and discover in new ways. This project marked Erland’s first partnership with Tenacre Country Day School.
