Building Momentum Beyond the Jobsite

At Erland Construction, we often say that construction is a people business. While our project teams are leading the work in the field each day, our marketing team plays an important supporting role behind the scenes, helping clients communicate, celebrate, and showcase their projects from the earliest planning stages through final completion and occupancy.

Throughout the lifecycle of a project, we work closely with our clients and project partners to help bring their vision to life beyond the construction itself. From organizing milestone events and coordinating communications to documenting progress and creating materials that engage key stakeholders, our goal is to make the project experience seamless, memorable, and impactful.

One of the most visible ways we support our clients is through the planning and execution of milestone events. Whether it’s a groundbreaking, topping off ceremony, ribbon cutting, or grand opening, our team assists with everything from invitation design and event schedules to signage, promotional materials, photography, videography, and post-event communications. These milestones are exciting moments for owners, employees, students, residents, and communities, and we take pride in helping our clients celebrate them in a meaningful and professional way.

Project storytelling is another major focus for our team. We regularly visit jobsites to capture photography and video content throughout construction, documenting progress from start to finish. In many cases, we also coordinate drone footage, professional architectural photography, and video updates that showcase key milestones, technical accomplishments, and the people bringing the project to life. These assets not only help preserve the story of the project but also become valuable tools for our clients’ future marketing, recruitment, fundraising, leasing, or community engagement efforts.

Beyond visual storytelling, we also support clients with project-specific collateral and communications. Depending on the project and audience, this may include materials for Board presentations, employee engagement, donor relations, student communications, community outreach, leasing efforts, or internal announcements. We understand that construction projects often involve many stakeholders, and clear, thoughtful communication helps build excitement, trust, and transparency throughout the process.

Additional ways we support our clients include developing dual-branded promotional items, coordinating client gifting, creating jobsite branding and signage, supporting media and public relations efforts, preparing award submissions, assisting with social media content, and helping clients highlight the innovation, sustainability, and impact of their projects. In occupied environments, we also help communicate construction updates and phasing information to minimize disruption and keep building users informed.

At the end of the day, our role extends far beyond proposals and brochures. As a marketing team within a construction management firm, we see ourselves as an extension of our clients’ teams—helping elevate their projects, engage their audiences, and celebrate the incredible work being accomplished together.
