Erland was invited back for a second project on the busy Fessenden School campus. In an effort to revitalize their existing Performing Arts Center, Erland renovated the entire arts wing including a theatre, multipurpose common areas, and classroom space. To meet new ADA regulations, a new elevator was also installed. In addition to the renovation, Erland constructed a 3,000sf addition to accommodate Fessenden’s growing orchestra program and equipment. The renovation and addition required various MEP upgrades including air handlers and roof monitors. A sound data test was performed to ensure the new air handlers would not disrupt the school’s future performances. The campus remained occupied throughout construction. Spacial plans and a sequenced schedule were implemented to accommodate the academic calendar. Erland took great care mitigating disruption to school activities for the duration of the project.
