Erland returned to the corporate headquarters building we constructed for insurance giant, The Andover Companies, to enhance the quality of work life for employees with a new Wellness Center. Prellwitz Chilinski Associates was our design partner for this design/build project. The Wellness Center is an addition to the main building via a connector. Granite, brick, and limestone were used to match the existing headquarters building. It features a fitness center, spin studio, flexible collaborative space, and fully-appointed locker/shower rooms. The project included an outdoor basketball court for employees to enjoy in good weather. The site of the Wellness Center is in a Protected Species Zone — habitat for bald eagles and dragonflies. Erland’s construction management plans were vetted by the National Wildlife Service. The new facility looks out over the Merrimack River.
