The base building project for developer The Davis Companies at Rustcraft Road involved renovation of a partially occupied, 137,000sf building following demolition of the existing 2-story structure. The original building was constructed in 1954 with an addition built in 1960. Erland stripped the base building down to steel and re-roofed it. We updated the building’s facade with new metal panel and window systems. The entire property was newly landscaped to make the site ready for the move-in of tenant General Dynamics. 130,000sf of tenant improvements including updates to the manufacturing space were done for General Dynamics. In addition to the office areas, Erland built out a SCIF room as part of a larger security plan that was executed by the tenant.
