Located on the former Sun Microsystems campus in Burlington, Erland completed this 130,000sf corporate headquarters for Palomar Medical Technologies in 14 months. The project required full collaboration with the landlord, Norblom Company. The new structure features manufacturing, laboratory, and office space. The north section of the building has a single-story manufacturing floor and the south section has three floors of offices and laboratories. Classified as non-surgical clinical areas, the labs required HEPA air filtration. The dramatic main entrance features distinctive finishes, glass curtain wall, and aluminum panels. Subsequently, Palomar was acquired by Cynosure and vacated the building for Cynosure’s campus in Westford.
