EMD Serono chose Erland, in partnership with STV Inc., PM Group, and INTEC Group, Inc., to transform an existing 903-square-foot open office area into an innovative visitor experience room. The centerpiece of the renovation was a state-of-the-art 19-foot by 6-foot interactive wall screen, designed to engage and immerse visitors. The project also included significant upgrades to the flooring and lighting, as well as the installation of smart storefront glass partitions, creating a modern and sleek aesthetic. The space was further refreshed with a new coat of paint, and bench seating was installed along the windows to maximize comfort and functionality. The mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems were upgraded to fully support the new technology. To accommodate the expansive wall screen, a dedicated Audio/Visual closet was constructed. In addition, new window shades and updated life safety systems were incorporated into the space. The building remained occupied throughout construction, with Erland carefully coordinating the work to ensure it stayed fully operational and disruptions to daily activities were minimized. Upon completion, the finished space featured a coffee station and additional amenities, creating a welcoming environment for client presentations and meetings. This marked Erland’s thirteenth project with EMD Serono.
