The Erland Charitable Foundation’s sixth annual Cornhole Tournament officially hit the boards on Thursday, June 25, and what a day it was! Thirty-two spirited teams brought their best tosses, competitive energy, and plenty of laughs as they battled it out for cornhole bragging rights and the coveted title of Cornhole Champion. After a series of exciting matchups and some seriously impressive throws, Shawnlee Construction walked away with bragging rights and the top spot—for the fifth time in the tournament’s 6-year history!
While the competition was fierce, the true impact of the day reached far beyond the boards. This year’s tournament raised funds in support of New England Donor Services, the Billerica Scholarship Foundation, and the Burlington Community Scholarship Foundation. Scholarship proceeds from the event were also dedicated in memory of Erland’s own Alan Scott, with scholarships established in his honor.
A huge thank you to everyone who played, volunteered, sponsored, cheered, and helped make the event such a success. We’re proud to continue this tradition of coming together, giving back, and supporting the communities that mean so much to us.
Until next year…keep those bags flying!
